Dr. Curcione is an osteopathic physician, board certified orthopaedic surgeon and a partner in the Athletic Orthopaedic Reconstructive Center. With offices in Fort Myers and Lehigh Acres, Dr. Curcione has served patients in Southwest Florida since 1997.

Dr. Curcione's specialty interests include adult reconstruction, specifically joint replacement surgery. He is trained in minimal incision joint replacement surgery, including the anterior approach to hip replacement. He also has specific interest in the treatment of disorders of the shoulder. He has been trained in arthroscopic shoulder surgery, specifically, all arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs and ligament repairs, as well as arthroscopic reconstruction of the shoulder. Dr. Curcione has also been trained in treating disorders of the hand. These disorders include fracture care, carpal tunnel syndrome, and arthritis care. He has training in reconstructive surgery of the hand specifically for arthritic disorders of the hand. He takes great care to keep up to date with the most cutting-edge technologies and procedures, so that, he can optimally serve his patients.

Raised in Windsor, Canada and Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Curcione is an avid athlete. He played competitive soccer. He was recruited to play professional soccer in Northern Italy upon his graduation from high school, but instead elected to attend the University of Michigan in hopes of receiving his college degree and entering into medical school. He continues to be an avid golfer maintaining a single-digit handicap. He is married to wife Michelle since 1995 and they have two children.

Dr. Curcione is committed to the care of his patients. He has put together a staff whose goals are inline with this philosophy. Our mission is to deliver superior orthopedic care with the highest regard for patient concerns. We strive to keep the patient as the center of our focus and keeping him or her informed each step of the way so that we can deliver complete and compassionate care to each individual.
